I reported that sort of lost console under PCVT.
Fact is, I can't use PCVT-vt-switching at all under
that version of a three weeks old -current.

It appears though that some ALT-F (9 or 10) give me
a HP TERM but still with the same process. So it's just
the terminal characteristics that changes, not the
process.
