Oracle 8.0.5 (for Linux) runs great on FreeBSD.  I have not tried 8.1.[67]
yet, but some -questions posts in the last month showed problems getting
the DB installed due to java problems (I think).  Check out "Oracle
install revisited" from Nov 18.
