Neither works very well. Is FreeBSD known to work on Triton based motherboards? On the Bioteq board the boot floppy dies saying something along the lines of: Uncompresing kernel... booting kernelel... <- yep twice and hangs forever booting kernelel... The Mylex board installs and runs a bit. However, cc always exits with a sig 10 or 11, and many other processes sig 10 or 11 over time. The Bioteq: P75 16MB RAM Adaptec 1542CF Controller Standard VGA NE2000 Ethernet The Mylex: P90 16MB RAM Adaptec 2940W Controller Dec 21040 PCI Ethernet Matrox PCI VGA The MBs have EIDE (turned off), extended parallel, floppy, 2 16550A uarts on the motherboard. The peripherals in the Mylex system all work fine in another PCI based machine running FreeBSD. Brian Litzinger brian@easynet.com
