Christian Media Communiqu=C3=A9 THE RISE AND FALL OF THE ROMERICAN EMPIRE – Part II In the initial installment of the present series, we rehearsed the matter of the four kingdoms imaged in Daniel 7 – the lion, bear, leopard, and “diverse” fourth beast, with the identification of the fourth kingdom as America. “The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces” (Daniel 7:23). Setting aside the vast temporal implications that we are now living in the days of the long prophesied beast empire for just a moment, we note this identification is resisted by virtually all parties – especially those who are seeking to affirm the present reality of the kingdom of God, as a Spiritual fulfillment which arrived at the cross in the time of Jesus Christ. This places those who recognize the truth of Christ’s statement that the work of salvation is “finished,” in the awkward position of disparaging future prophetic fulfillment, as they seek to defend their understanding of the present (and ongoing eternal) nature of the kingdom of God. The same faction, usually known as amillennialists (meaning non-millennial), reject the concept of the Revelation’s 1,000 year reign of Christ, asserting the texts which speak of the millennium are simply symbolic of the entire Christian era. A common theme heard among such is that futurism – the idea of a future tribulation, a future Antichrist figure, and a future intermediate stage of eternity called the “millennium” (where Christ is said to reign on the earth for a literal 1,000 years) – was an invention of the Papacy. Furthermore, amillennialists tell us that Catholic thinker’s contrived the idea of future fulfillment as a way to distract from Protestant identification of the Pope, as the already empowered Antichrist. In this convoluted way of thinking, we recognize that 17th, 18th , and 19th century believers – almost exclusively Protestants – thought the 1,260 days of the reign of Antichrist in Revelation, represented 1,260 years, which were almost concluded. Thus, error compounded error, which reacted and fought back with more error, and the truth was completely obscured in this nightmarish morass of theological, dialectically driven, pendulum swings. The truth is, the Pope is not the “Antichrist,” there is future fulfillment extensively described in the Bible – and the kingdom of God in Christ is NOW – and has been “NOW,” ever since the time of the cross. The root of the problem is the human heart, as well as our reasoning processes, which have both been mercilessly manipulated by principalities and powers which thoroughly understand us. When we encounter information which runs contrary to our worldview, we frequently read ahead, and decide to reject that information because we don’t like where we think it will take us. This is particularly acute in the realm of Bible prophecy, and doctrinal perceptions. Although the permutations of this phenomenon are endless, the aforementioned amillennials provide us with an excellent example. Amils reject futurism, for many reasons – not the least of which is the widespread association of futurism with the Rapture Cult, and the related egregious errors of Jewish Supremacism. Thus, when amillennialists are told Daniel 7’s kingdoms, prophetically projected as the lion (England), the bear (Russia), the leopard (Germany), and the diverse fourth beast (America) are Christian era prophecies, they reject it, saying these four are the same as Daniel 2’s head of gold (Babylon), silver arms (Persian Union), brass belly (Greece), and iron legs (Rome). They do this because a futurist identification (which is the truth), threatens their stated position – that the kingdom of God arrives in the days of Rome, and prophecy is now terminated. In this regard, the amillennialists are moving in the same Spirit as the ancient Jews, who rejected obvious prophetic fulfillment in their very midst, because it threatened their existing paradigm. “Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? For this man doeth many miracles. If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation” (John 11:47, 48). Simultaneously, the dominant futurist body of believers, also reject the true identification of the lion, bear, leopard, and diverse fourth beast, because the Little Horn who comes up on the head of the American beast closely approximates the contemporary state of Israel. These futurists are thoroughly indoctrinated in the false doctrine which puts forth the other gospel which asserts the nation of Israel, and the Jewish people, are chosen based on their flesh and blood -- and they are convinced the way the Christians interact with the Jews may very well determine the believer’s eternal fate. Thus, the Rapture Cult, and other related futurist groups, reject the truth of the American beast, because they don’t like where they think this truth will take them. Simultaneously, they dialectically war against the amillennials, claiming such “spiritualize” prophecy, asserting this perception is driven by liberalism. At the end of the day, virtually all parties, led by their carnal hearts and minds (the “two parts” cut off in Zechariah 13:8), working in opposition to the Spirit of the LORD (the “third part” which is redeemed in the same text), reject the truth, in order to retain the relationships they have with their respective systems, churches, doctrines, and even favorite false prophets. “And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie.” “But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth” (II Thessalonians 2:10, 11, 13). The two categories mentioned in the preceding verses are sharply contrasted. Those who refused to receive the “love of the truth” are clearly unsaved.
