In the 2.1 release it was the opposite. The above change makes FreeBSD-stable kernels not boot on my machines. Changing the probe-order back in autoconf.c makes everything work fine. I'm just posting this to 1) make people aware that at least one user gets broken by this and 2) to find out if it was an intentional change with other repercussions or just an inadvertent change. -Fred Gilham gilham@csl.sri.com
