A JDK1.2 or 1.2.x build must be bootstrapped against a 1.2-v (or later) build. Please update your ALT-BOOTDIR settin, or just unset it, and try again. i checked /usr/local/linux-jdk1.2.2/bin and tried to run java command but got this error: /usr/local/linux-jdk1.2.2/bin/i386/green_threads/java: error in loading shared libraries libhpi.so: cannont open shared object file: No such file or directory i am using Freebsd 4.2-Release. has anyone used the ports to install it? what am i doing wrong? peter choe To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-java" in the body of the message
