That IDE Yamaha 8x4x4 worked fine with FreeBSD. It worked fine in NT4.0. W2K seemed to be having problems with mount/unmount resulting in occasional hangs/freezes when using Nero5+. CDRWIN was the best in NT4.0, but dropped dead in W2K. I spend hours trying to make it work, despite their warning that W2K and IDE combo is dead for CDRWIN. So, I would use Nero for iso burning (the Win box had broadband) Until I learned a lesson trying to burn Solaris for IA images :)And I thought I was not a cheapskate... --- Ted Mittelstaedt <tedm@toybox.placo.com> wrote: > That's if your lucky enough to get a cd burner that works > with burncd, not all do.
