Ati has had the speed crown since the 9500 or 9700 came out, but I heard nvidia will be reclaiming it in a few months. I would recommend the ati for 3d work, but not on an nforce board. If you plan to get an nforce board you have to get an nvidia card untill there is an updated driver for the nforce boards. If anyone knows different about ati on nforce boards please let me know.
