Building a kernel is a good way to stress test your system. It may work fine most of the time but building a kernel will find any weak points. See http://www.bitwizard.nl/sig11/ it evens starts with: "My kernel compile crashes with gcc: Internal compiler error: program cc1 got fatal signal 11 What is wrong with the compiler? Which version of the compiler do I need? Is there something wrong with the kernel?" > help thanks > > > > To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org > with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message -- 4.4 - The number of the Beastie ________________________________________________________________ 51.44°N FreeBSD - The Power To Serve http://www.freebsd.org 2.057°W My Webpage http://ukug.uk.freebsd.org/~mark mailto:marko@freebsd.org http://www.radan.com To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
