Now I need to switch to DES (in order to export the passwords to a local netblazer). I know I'll need to reset everyone's passwords which will be a pain, and I guess I'll have to recompile any binaries that use libcrypt, but how do I install the library files I need and exactly which standard binaries will need recompiling? I guess I'll have to be very careful in resetting the root password if I don't want to have to reboot my system. Help! --Washington University School of Law
