For a couple of weeks I'm now getting these logs in /var/log/messages: Jun 24 23:47:33 myhost sendmail[89576]: NOQUEUE: SYSERR: putoutmsg (k-whiner.pica.army.mil): error on output channel sending "220 myhost.mydomain.de ESMTP Sendmail 8.9.2/8.6.9 ready at Thu, 24 Jun 1999 23:47:33 +0200 (CEST)": Broken pipe Jun 25 01:55:34 myhost sendmail[90076]: NOQUEUE: SYSERR: putoutmsg (k-whiner.pica.army.mil): error on output channel sending "220 myhost.mydomain.de ESMTP Sendmail 8.9.2/8.6.9 ready at Fri, 25 Jun 1999 01:55:34 +0200 (CEST)": Broken pip I changed the target host name to something anonymous but let the source as it was in the original message. I found that the source hosts a mainling list (info-labview) I'm subscribed. Maybe I'll contact their mail admins but before that I'd like to know what the error exactly means.
