I commented out the reference to my freebsd partition on ad1 and all is well. But I ran fsck on it and it declared it clean. Odd. I guess I'll have to get a UPS for this thing. This is the 2nd time this has happened. The last time was with Linux, and my system was totally hosed. Thank you very very much.
