Thanks! After having read mixed user reviews (http://reviews.designtechnica.com/user_reviews63.html) of the Maxtor 5000XT / 5000DV, I have gotten a little bit uneasy of buying drives from Maxtor. But if all other external drives available also use standard IDE drives, designed for a stationary PC, I guess they also will suffer from the same robustness problems described. Hmmm... I guess I am a little bit confused about what to buy here as I need a large disk which should be robust enough for being transported around. Does anyone else have any suggestions for what to buy?
