* From: Bill Fumerola <billf@chimesnet.com> Look, this is all about CVS history. Please go back and reread my original post on this topic. * If the intent was to retire v6 and live on with v7, then we should have * had postgresql-devel or some such. The next time this came around (v8?) * we could have revived (or if peter already cleaned it, remake) postgresql-devel * and again retire it when -devel==mainstream. That doesn't make any difference. What the deleted port is called is irrelevant, since it's being deleted anyway. ;) If you really feel strongly about it, go ahead and merge all revisions of postgresql7 missing from postgresql into postgresql. Then I don't have a problem of us getting rid of postgresql7. * I think Garrett said it the best (paraphrasing): the program's name is * postgresql, not postgresql7. So? There's no www.bash2.org either. Satoshi To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-ports" in the body of the message
