Hello,

If it's an earlier v20z/v40z then no, you can't change the fan speed 
from the OS (from my experiments anyway).  However, the later revisions 
of the boards have included automatic fan speed control so it'll adjust 
according to the temperature.

I got 4 v20z's next to me (2 of them are the older revisions, and 2 of 
them are the newer revisions), you eventually learn to tune them out :)
