If so, could you send me your /etc/X11/XF86Config file? I'm running FreeBSD 5.2. The reason for the old version is that it's the version discussed in The Design and Implemention of the FreeBSD Operating System. I wanted to be able to look at the same version of the kernel source as the book describes. I *think* VirtualBox only emulates a VESA 2 standard video card, but I'm not sure. If it emulates a card for which FreeBSD's X11 has a driver, I'd like to know what it is. What happens when I try to start X is that I get a very low-resolution screen, and I can't move the X mouse. I tried the graphical X11 config program when I installed, and the mouse wouldn't move there either. I'm using VirtualBox 2.2.4 under Fedora 10 Linux. Thanks!
