It seems that sysctl.conf is read at the end of rc and at that point, it
seems to be too late to set turn it on. Or at least this is what I get:
shoes# sysctl -w hw.ata.atapi_dma=3D1
sysctl: oid 'hw.ata.atapi_dma' is read only
shoes#=20
In case it makes any difference, my kern.securelevel is -1.
