One of the suggestions was to make sure that linux_base was installed. I do have linux_base-7.1_1 installed, but it might be interesting to note that I am one of the handful of people that seems to have a problem installing linux_base from the ports. I instead had to install linux_base from the packages. I'm really not sure where to start with this. Any help would be appreciated.
