Or do I have to go Adaptec 2940.... I got the same story when I went to get my new system. I wanted another of the Tyan controllers, based on the NCR825, and I was told they were going to be phased out in favor of a new, much more expensive 875 based system that Tyan didn't even (and still doesn't) have announced yet. I went looking around some more, and found the Tyan 825 based one available still from a place that specializes in BSDI systems, in Calif, called Telenet Systems Solutions, (408) 383-0334. They charged me $105 for it, very reasonable, very friendly, and they seemed to know what they were doing. ----------------------------+----------------------------------------------- Chuck Robey | Interests include any kind of voice or data chuckr@eng.umd.edu | communications topic, C programming, and Unix. 9120 Edmonston Ct #302 | Greenbelt, MD 20770 | I run Journey2 and picnic, both FreeBSD (301) 220-2114 | version 3.0 current -- and great FUN! ----------------------------+-----------------------------------------------
