 Well, as it turned out, I only just realized today that I didn't
 properly upgrade pan and its dependencies for debugging, either
 (neglected to disable the stripping of the binaries).  Working on that
 right now.
 
 I'll followup later, once I have everything properly built and get a
 full trace.
