I just installed an Onstream SC50 tape drive. My machine is running FreeBSD 3.3-RELEASE. dmesg reports: sa0 at ahc0 bus 0 target 2 lun 0 sa0: <OnStream SC-50 1.08> Removable Sequential Access SCSI-2 device sa0: 10.000MB/s transfers (10.000MHz, offset 7) I have tried several commands with mt but all result in failure messages. # mt fsf 1 mt: /dev/nrsa0: Invalid argument # mt rewind mt: /dev/nrsa0: Invalid argument The error messages returned by the above two operations as displayed by dmesg are: (sa0:ahc0:0:2:0): REWIND. CDB: 1 0 0 0 0 0 (sa0:ahc0:0:2:0): ILLEGAL REQUEST asc:24,0 (sa0:ahc0:0:2:0): Invalid field in CDB (sa0:ahc0:0:2:0): REWIND. CDB: 1 0 0 0 0 0 (sa0:ahc0:0:2:0): ILLEGAL REQUEST asc:24,0 (sa0:ahc0:0:2:0): Invalid field in CDB Suggestions please.
