I know this has been asked several times in the past, as I have searched through the archives. But, it seems like the question never really gets answered. (Maybe that's a sign that it doesn't work?) I am trying to get LDAP User authentication working on a FreeBSD 4.5-R box. I've compiled pam_ldap, but, what good is it without an nsswitch.conf type of file? I've tried to compile nss_ldap, to no avail. Has anyone gotten LDAP User Authentication working on FreeBSD 4.x? And if so, could you please post back how you got it to work?
