Hello there!! This is an observation, not a question. I am using FreeBSD ver. 2.1.6, and I tried to run "fvwm95-2" the window manager that looks like win 95 (sorry, my sister insisted). I noticed that it did not work fine. It seems to have missed the resource file ".fvwm2rc95". It should be in the directory /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fvwm95-2. Instead of it, there is a file called "system.fvwmrc" that is a complete configuration of fvwm95-2. I moved "system.fvwmrc" to ".fvwm2rc95 and my fvwm95-2 worked fine. There a lot of "dependencies" that are not loaded when this manager is "pkg_add -ed" v.gr. xfm, xscreensaver, and another ones. But there is a problem with "xload" that must be corrected in FreeBSD 2.1.6: The files: "/dev/kmem" "/dev/mem" "/dev/drum" must have reading permission for all the users, otherwise "xload" does not work. (chmod a+x /dev/kmem /dev/mem /dev/drum). Hope you find this message useful. /\ /\ _ / \/ \ \___/_\ __ ( O O _) / / / \ /\ / ___ / / ___ | |\ / / | / / / |_|_ O __/____/\__/\___|/___/\__/ \/
