O'Lear" Sender: owner-questions@freebsd.org Precedence: bulk I really hate to slam a product, but the removablity of the cartridge is not your biggest worry. I had a SQ3270 (actually I went through 3 in 6 months). Every one of them was broken. The return process was lousy, with numerous stories about the location of my replacements. The people in returns finally admitted that they were getting an awful lot of returns for this product, and that they couldn't keep up with them all. When it was over I finally got a refund, but lost countless megabytes of data. (I originally purchased the drive in December of 1994) If they have indeed fixed the drives, the drive seems to lock at random times (you can mount and unmount them with no problem, but it only lets you eject them around 80% of the time). Of course you can always use a paper clip after you unmount it if the eject button doesn't work. They have a DOS utility to unlock them, but it doesn't seem to unlock them under pcemu (I get no errors, but it doesn't unlock the drive).
