The FreeBSD kernel doesn't understand LBA, but has no problems to speak to ST-506-interfaced drives up to j@uriah 683% echo '(2^16*16*255*512)/2^30' | bc 127 gigabytes, or at least j@uriah 684% echo '(2^16*16*63*512)/2^30' | bc 31 gigabytes if the drive is also to be used by the BIOS.
