Hello, I am updating xorg following your instructions with portupgrade. I had gstreamer so I used the -x 'gstreamer*' instructions ; at this stage, most ports where uptodate except for xorg-server that fails to install and some (non important) others (the ftp.gnu server seems to have some problems lately as downloads freeze). At this stage I decided that I had no actual interrest in gstreamer related (at least for now) so I decided to pkg_delete gstreamer (and the video ports that required it too). I tried to make install xorg-server again (all the other xorg related ports claim to be uptodate). But it failed. So I deinstalled it and then proceed to your next instruction which is to merge /usr/X11R6 in /usr/local. I used the script without trouble. Now you ask to install the main x11/xorg package. So I make it; no problem. Then I make install and it fails with an error code 1. You can have a look at the script of this attempt at http://www.math.polytechnique.fr/~vigneron/pb.xorg A make install of x11-server/xorg-server (which I am interested too) seems to fail at the same point. Thanks in advance. Francois Vigneron
