I can only add that the "AllowEmptyInput" appeared in the xorg-server-1.3.99.0, dated 31-Jul-2007 (see http://xorg.freedesktop.org/releases/individual/xserver/). And FreeBSD port of xorg-server was updated from 1.2 to 1.4 at Thu Sep 13 19:44:55 2007: http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/cvsweb.cgi/ports/x11-servers/xorg-server/distinfo.diff?r1=1.7;r2=1.8 So maybe it is worth to mention in the pkg-message about old hack with the 'void' input device -- just in case someone will try to run new Synaptics driver with older xorg-server and problems will arise. > Thank you!!
