https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D243381 Bug ID: 243381 Summary: gobject-introspection not updated when upgrading python Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: gnome@FreeBSD.org Reporter: doctorwhoguy@gmail.com Assignee: gnome@FreeBSD.org Flags: maintainer-feedback?(gnome@FreeBSD.org) I just tried building print/harfbuzz-icu, and it failed, apparently with the same issue as in bug 243191 and bug 242927. I use portmaster for upgrading = my system, and I recently followed the instructions in /usr/ports/UPDATING for 20191216 for users of Python. The issue was resolved by simply recompiling devel/gobject-introspection. I think this issue was addressed previously in= bug 238254, but it has cropped up again with another Python version bump. Ideally, portupgrade or portmaster would detect these Python bindings and automatically rebuild gobject-introspection. Failing that, maybe the gobject-introspection port could be modified so that it includes the @py37 specifier used by many other Python-related ports. At the least, this issue with gobject-introspection should probably be mentioned in /usr/ports/UPDAT= ING as was done for Samba in the 20200113 entry. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
