Could you (if you have time, otherwise I'll check tonight) add -lm to the flang wrapper script installed in ${LOCALBASE}/bin/flang? flang seems to have trouble with finding its required libraries (I mean to file a bug report with them). On a related note: I have https://reviews.freebsd.org/D12735 up, which upgrades the LLVM dependency to 5.0 (no version change for flang itself).
