Thanks; Good point, maybe I too will create a chroot with a virginal release environment to build my open office, as I too have a (different) error. I know there are docs on how ports team build all their packages within chroot but ive never read them myself so no URL to quote you, sorry, all I've ever done is (approx ... syntax in a rush & not right , gotta go..) man chroot .... cd /usr/src make cd /usr/src/release setenv DESTDIR /some/place make release anyway something like that.
