And the banshee specs are available. Right. 2D available. 3D still requires a binary-only piece like libglide. Last I hear, the latter still isn't available native for FreeBSD. So (barring hacks), support only for those OSs 3dfx supports, and for those OSs which can emulate one of those platforms (assuming its users don't mind the headache and overhead associated with cross-compiling and emulating 3D). Not me. More power to nVidia and Matrox. I'm glad to see John Carmack and friends chose OpenSource 3D cards to start with.
