All evidence comes from https://svnweb.freebsd.org/base/head/sys/dev/vt/vt_core.c?revision=343779&view=markup#l1392 Since it checks for the mute flag at boot. Looks like there is a DEV_SPLASH macro, it could be disabled in kernel options. Logos look like to be in logo/ directory. HTH, -- David
