But, I can tell you that my experience is that they don't answer their e-mails either. I've also never returned a dead drive to a distributor from any manufacturer. If you ever get stuck with a dead WD drive again IMHO your best bet is probably going to be giving someone in the US the drive serial number and asking them to call WD's customer support and get an RMA number, then just ship the drive overseas directly to WD, and bypass the locals. (who most likely don't want to fool with returns on anything, anyway) It sounds kind of dumb to do it that way, but some of the so-called "multinational" companies here haven't really figured out how things are supposed to be done when selling overseas. IBM has, though. :-) Ted Mittelstaedt tedm@toybox.placo.com Author of: The FreeBSD Corporate Networker's Guide Book website: http://www.freebsd-corp-net-guide.com >-----Original Message----- >From: owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG >[mailto:owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG]On Behalf Of Doug Young >Sent: Friday, May 25, 2001 11:59 PM >To: Andrew C.
