I have an IBM Thinkpad G40, which runs FreeBSD wonderfully, except for one thing: The WiFi. I found this entry that claims the WiFi card works, but I'm not having the same experience: http://gerda.univie.ac.at/freebsd-laptops/index.pl?action=show_laptop_detail&laptop=343 (Actually, other things are different as well, ACPI works perfectly as far as I can tell) Anyway, I'm looking for any advice. Originally using 5.3-RELEASE, and now 5.3-p8. I switched back to a GENERIC kernel to see if that helped, but I see nothing in dmesg that would indicate that the WiFi is even detected. uname: FreeBSD laptop.potentialtech.com 5.3-RELEASE-p8 FreeBSD 5.3-RELEASE-p8 #2: Tue Apr 12 06:49:17 EDT 2005 root@laptop.potentialtech.com:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/LAPTOP i386 dmesg: Copyright (c) 1992-2004 The FreeBSD Project.
