Hi,

I am looking for an 802.11b base PCI base card which is supported by
FreeBSD 4.8 and is still available in stores. This is to be installed on
a Desktop type computer and not a laptop.

I have already went thought the Release Notes, however as you will see I
have had no luck. In the last two week, I have tried a two cards
- Linksys WMP11, which switch from Prism to Broadcom chip
- SMC 2602W, which switch from a PCMCIA Bridge base card to ADMtek 8201
  chip

Don't you hate companies keeping the same Model Number for totally
different cards? :-(

I also look at the D-LINK model, the DWL-520+ and DWL-650+ are the new
counterpart of the DWL-520 and DWL-650 respective, however the new '+'
model are not supported as they are also using the Broadcom chip (to my
recollection)

Anyway any suggestion would be appreciated.

Thanks
Serge
