Development moved away from CVS a long time ago, but the mirrors were kept so that users could keep using csup. If 'you' (FSVO) want to drop the mirrors, for obvious reasons, it would be helpful to the rest of us if some alternative could be provided which is functionally equivalent. I am given to understand, but have not yet tested, that freebsd-update can be used to update just the 'src' component. If this works reliably (and doesn't mess anything else up in a built-from-source system), it seems like a good answer to me, at least for those tracking -RELEASE branches rather than -STABLE. One solution to this dilemma might be to just document that as the officially-supported way to obtain the source. Ben
