Hello community, Thanks everybody for their thoughts. After reading your posts and some articles over the weekend I will take the gmirror(8) + gjournal(8) road. The backups will be done offsite because the company which I'm doing this for is a friend of my boss and we do have a lot of spare space or our servers. thanks once again, v -- network warrior since 2005
