Actually, ports/43656 contains some other changes about building the mod_dav_svn module for apache2, which our port doesn't build. This is the reason the PR is still open (according to the audit trail anyways). I don't know if the port maintainer has seen this PR, so he gets a CC on this email. Thanks for following up on this!
