 Check out the Wiki:

 http://wiki.freebsd.org/Wine#head-6963d527c173e57b1567e881305b544d33435b6d

 You need to build the 32bit system:
 cd /usr/src && make buildworld installworld distribution TARGET=i386 
 DESTDIR=/compat/i386

 And then you will chroot into that and build wine.  You also would want 
 to install the 32bit version of the Nvidia driver if you use that.
