Since you opened the door...

A core-team calendar would be an interesting novelty item.

Or just a calendar in general that lists expected release dates
and FreeBSD events such as the Con, USENIX, DEFCON, COMDEX, etc..

Or you could combine the ideas... :)

You could use pictures from various events/expos and the new adverts
for the pictures as well.
