You know what I actually did was download a package called "Xearth" that
puts up a nice full-screen bitmap of the planet Earth on the desktop, with
cities labeled.  I love it - problem solved.  Thanks for the advice though,
I'll keep it in mind if I get sick of the Earth bitmap.
