They are part of the standard .java files, so they should be there.  They are
Socks version 4 (which is what we needed at the time, so that's what I
implemented).  When I had time to 
implement Socks 5, it was too late in a particular release cycle, so it 
didn't get added to the JDK.  (this was when I was @ JavaSoft)
