https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D217756 Bug ID: 217756 Summary: www/mod_geoip2: should be replaced by mod_maxminddb Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Some People Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: freebsd-ports-bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: code@daniel.priv.no CC: jau@iki.fi CC: jau@iki.fi Flags: maintainer-feedback?(jau@iki.fi) mod_geoip2 has been replaced by mod_maxminddb, and should be so in ports as well. The libmaxminddb requirement is already in ports. It seems like mod_geoip2 stopped getting updates in 2015, has been labeled = as =E2=80=9Clegacy=E2=80=9D, and support documentation was removed in early 20= 16. The main advantage of mod_maxminddb is IPv6 support and faster lookups.=20 https://github.com/maxmind/mod_maxminddb https://dev.maxmind.com/geoip/legacy/mod_geoip2/ https://github.com/maxmind/geoip-api-mod_geoip2 --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
