I've been recently donated one of these old DEC servers and I'm planning to install some Un*x on it. The 'show conf' tells me the box has: 1x 190Mhz CPU 1x 512Mb RAM 1x 128Mb RAM PCI bus: 1x NCR 53810 SCSI controller 1x 2Gb SCSI HD 3x 4Gb SCSI HD 1x SCSI CD 2x DEC Ethernet Cards 1x Intel 82375 PCI-to-EISA BRIDGE EISA bus: 1x Mylex DEC960 RAID controller (12 4Gb disks, 2 RAID 0) 1x Compaq Qvision I've been told FreeBSD supports older hardware than Linux -especially the DAC960 and the Qvision- so I would like to know if it is possible to get both of these working. Thanks in advance for any hint. _______________________________________________________________ Copa del Mundo de la FIFA 2002 El único lugar de Internet con vídeos de los 64 partidos. ¡Apúntante ya! en http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com/fc/es/ To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-alpha" in the body of the message
