--000000000000d876fb05ffb95532 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Hello, This fix inspired me to try it on net-p2p/amule that is failing on clang16. This port already have USES=3Dcompiler:c++11-lang and I added USE_CXXSTD=3Dc++11 and it fixes build. My question is, isn't a PORTREVISION bump reccomended since build have changed with -std=3Dc++11? Build fail log: https://pkg-status.freebsd.org/beefy18/data/main-amd64-default/p7520ea4fbad= d_sfd774e065c/logs/amule-2.3.3_6.log Thanks, Alexey Dokuchaev <danfe@freebsd.org> escreveu no dia quarta, 5/07/2023 =C3= =A0(s) 04:29: > On Tue, Jul 04, 2023 at 05:14:37PM +0000, John Baldwin wrote: > > commit 348c10112de61df7e66ea2d5a190700213542caa > > > > devel/freebsd-gcc9: Build with -std=3Dc++11. > > > > This works around errors from clang from LLVM16 due to -Wregister > > warnings that are fatal in the default C++ standard (C++17) used by > > clang 16. > > --- > > @@ -26,6 +26,8 @@ TARGETARCH=3D ${FLAVOR} > > USES=3D compiler:c++11-lang cpe gmake iconv libtool > makeinfo tar:xz > > CPE_VENDOR=3D gnu > > > > +CXXFLAGS+=3D -std=3Dc++11 > > + > > We have USE_CXXSTD for that in the b.p.m. > > ./danfe > --=20 Nuno Teixeira FreeBSD Committer (ports) --000000000000d876fb05ffb95532 Content-Type: text/html; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <div dir=3D"ltr"><div>Hello,</div><div><br></div><div>This fix inspired me = to try it on net-p2p/amule that is failing on clang16.</div><div>This port = already have USES=3Dcompiler:c++11-lang and I added USE_CXXSTD=3Dc++11 and = it fixes build.</div><div><br></div><div>My question is, isn't a PORTRE= VISION bump reccomended since build have changed with -std=3Dc++11?<br></di= v><div><br></div><div>Build fail log:</div><div><a href=3D"https://pkg-stat= us.freebsd.org/beefy18/data/main-amd64-default/p7520ea4fbadd_sfd774e065c/lo= gs/amule-2.3.3_6.log">https://pkg-status.freebsd.org/beefy18/data/main-amd6= 4-default/p7520ea4fbadd_sfd774e065c/logs/amule-2.3.3_6.log</a></div><div><b= r></div><div>Thanks,<br></div></div><br><div class=3D"gmail_quote"><div dir= =3D"ltr" class=3D"gmail_attr">Alexey Dokuchaev <<a href=3D"mailto:danfe@= freebsd.org">danfe@freebsd.org</a>> escreveu no dia quarta, 5/07/2023 = =C3=A0(s) 04:29:<br></div><blockquote class=3D"gmail_quote" style=3D"margin= :0px 0px 0px 0.8ex;border-left:1px solid rgb(204,204,204);padding-left:1ex"= >On Tue, Jul 04, 2023 at 05:14:37PM +0000, John Baldwin wrote:<br> > commit 348c10112de61df7e66ea2d5a190700213542caa<br> > <br> >=C2=A0 =C2=A0devel/freebsd-gcc9: Build with -std=3Dc++11.<br> > <br> >=C2=A0 =C2=A0This works around errors from clang from LLVM16 due to -Wr= egister<br> >=C2=A0 =C2=A0warnings that are fatal in the default C++ standard (C++17= ) used by<br> >=C2=A0 =C2=A0clang 16.<br> > ---<br> > @@ -26,6 +26,8 @@ TARGETARCH=3D ${FLAVOR}<br> >=C2=A0 USES=3D=C2=A0 =C2=A0 =C2=A0 =C2=A0 =C2=A0 =C2=A0 =C2=A0 =C2=A0 c= ompiler:c++11-lang cpe gmake iconv libtool makeinfo tar:xz<br> >=C2=A0 CPE_VENDOR=3D=C2=A0 gnu<br> >=C2=A0 <br> > +CXXFLAGS+=3D=C2=A0 =C2=A0-std=3Dc++11<br> > +<br> <br> We have USE_CXXSTD for that in the b.p.m.<br> <br> ./danfe<br> </blockquote></div><br clear=3D"all"><br><span class=3D"gmail_signature_pre= fix">-- </span><br><div dir=3D"ltr" class=3D"gmail_signature"><div dir=3D"l= tr"><span style=3D"color:rgb(102,102,102)">Nuno Teixeira<br>FreeBSD Committ= er (ports)</span></div></div> --000000000000d876fb05ffb95532--
