libncurses in base handles wide characters inconsistently and
behaves completely broken under some locales (zh_CN.GB2312,
zh_CN.GBK, ko_KR.CP949).  Those bugs are fixed in 20081129
and the unctrl (which usually mis-escape wide characters) have
been rework by the end of 2009.  The ncurses 5.9 in ports works
much better then the one in base, and is actively fixing bugs on
BSDs, why not import this library?
