WD Cavair Green HDDs knows to have very short heads parking time out (about 8 seconds), which leads to fast HDD resource exhaustion. WD has utility (wdidle.exe) to set larger idle time. But it is DOS-based. Maybe, here is way to send this vendor command under FreeBSD, without rebooting? I use ahci.ko. --=20 // Black Lion AKA Lev Serebryakov
