I've had a hellish time getting BSD of *any* variety on my laptop - Something that XF3.3.6 didn't like - I'm not too sure what, but I had the ATI Rage Mobility 4 Meg card - I had an IBM "i" series (From what I understand, they are legendary for the problems that they have accepting FBSD.) I had some problems with the PCMCIA slots, too. I got it to work, but I couldn't get X to work - quite frustrating. I eventually ended up having SuSE installed on it, and I keep my desktop at FBSD 4.3. :) HTH, Chrisitan On Sat, Jun 30, 2001 at 11:51:19AM -0700, Linh Pham babbled: > Delivered-To: cschreiber@netrail.net > Delivered-To: freebsd-questions@freebsd.org > Date: Sat, 30 Jun 2001 11:51:19 -0700 (PDT) > From: Linh Pham <lplist@closedsrc.org> > To: "Jonathan M.
