Step 1) You need to build a custom kernel. At the end of your kernel file add the line device bktr0 then make a new kernel Step 2) Make the device in /dev type in the following commands as root. cd /dev sh MAKEDEV bktr0 Step 3) Reboot your PC. You should see an entry for your Hauppauge card in the boot sequence Check with dmesg. Step 4) Watching TV Use the program called FXTV. It can be found in /usr/ports/graphics/fxtv I have a report it does not build correctly and I have the patch to the makefile somewhere. If it does not work, email me and I'll help out. Bye Roger p.s. If your hauppauge card as the MSP34xx Stereo Decoder audio chip, you may get no sound when watching TV. I should get this fixed in the next week or two.
