Hello, I'm having a problem using emacs between FreeBSD systems. My workstation is a 4.3-RC system. The servers are 4.2-stable. The terminal is set to "xterm" everywhere. When I ssh in to another system and try to use emacs, the delete key prints a tilde (~). I have absolutely no idea about where to start looking. I'm presuming somewhere in the terminal settings? I use ssh and emacs between all the other servers, and my laptop and the servers, all the time... it's just on the workstation with the 21" monitor. Of course. :) Thanks for any suggestions, Michael -- Michael Lucas mwlucas@blackhelicopters.org http://www.blackhelicopters.org/~mwlucas/ Big Scary Daemons: http://www.oreillynet.com/pub/q/Big_Scary_Daemons To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
